Vass Hybrid Thermo Fishing Boot

A winter boot for sitting still in, which is a different job from a walking boot. The lining is a thick synthetic fur that runs the whole way through and comes out for washing, and Vass rate it to well below anything a UK winter will produce.

The sole is in two parts: a light, insulating upper section so the boot does not weigh like a wellington, bonded to a hard-wearing lower with a deep chunky tread for wet clay and bank slopes.

There are no laces. A quick-release flap and a wide calf and ankle mean you can get in and out at the car without sitting down, which matters more than it sounds at four in the morning.
