Sufix X4 4 Carrier Braid 150m

A four-carrier braid built from 100% Japanese UHMPE fibre, which is where its strength for diameter and its abrasion resistance come from. A four-carrier construction has a firmer feel than a round eight-strand, and the abrasion resistance is where it earns its keep: gravel bars, zebra mussels and rock are what finish braid off.

Stretch is minimal, so a lift of the rod tip moves the hook rather than the line. On a long cast or a deep swim that is the difference between feeling a pluck and never knowing it happened.

Both spools hold 150m, which is enough to fill a 3000 to 4000 size reel with backing underneath, or to load two smaller spools.

Which one?

• 22lb 0.185mm Hi-Vis Yellow – the lighter of the two, and the one to pick when you want to watch the line for bites or track where the lure is. Yellow shows up against water at range.
• 30lb 0.235mm Lo-Vis Green – more breaking strain for pike, heavy lures and snaggy ground, in a green that stays discreet in clear water.
