A deep-red paste with a heavy aroma. It carries a natural preservative, so it keeps in the tub rather than turning, and it is built to break down fast – which is exactly what you want wrapped around a hookbait.
You can fish it on its own too. Sticky note that putting it in mesh slows the breakdown if you need it to last longer. It is not only a carp bait either: they rate it for coarse species generally, and for chub and barbel on rivers in particular.
