Sticky Baits Manilla Freezer Boilies

Manilla is the nut bait in the Sticky range, and this is the frozen version. Peanuts are a classic carp bait and carp will happily eat themselves silly on them, but they are fatty enough that most nut baits have to be used sparingly. Manilla gets round that with a partially defatted peanut protein, so it can go in in quantity and go in all year.

The rest of the bait is refined milk proteins and birdfoods. The smell that hits you when you open the bag is pure Madagascan vanilla extract, and it is the reason bites tend to come quickly on it.

It is needle friendly and fishes as a straight bottom bait.

Which size?

• 12mm / 1kg – for mixed beds, or where the fish have grown wary of a standard 16.
• 16mm / 1kg – the standard size and the one most anglers reach for.
