Okuma Carbonite XP CBF-140A Baitfeeder Reel

The Carbonite XP is built around one job: letting a taking fish move off with the bait before the reel loads up. Flick the baitfeeder lever and the spool runs free; wind the handle and the auto-trip puts you straight back on full drag.

The Precision Elliptical Gearing System keeps friction down as line leaves the spool, which buys distance and accuracy on the cast and keeps line wear low. It arrives ready to fish with green line already loaded, and a second graphite spool sits in the box for when you want a different breaking strain.

The 140 is the smaller of the two sizes in the range, which puts it in the margin and short-range bracket for carp, tench and bream rather than in open water.
