Big pit casting behaviour in a body small enough to fish with all day. The 30mm long stroke spool and the super slow worm shaft transmission mean line comes off in wide, low-friction coils, which is where the extra range on a feeder cast comes from.

It is aimed at carp on small and medium waters rather than open-water distance work, so the gearing is quick at 5.3:1 and picks up 103cm a turn when a fish runs at you. The drag is fast progressive: a couple of clicks takes it from locked up to giving line.

The bail is a heavy duty one-piece aluminium wire, which matters if you fish fine braid, because there is no join for it to find. A rotor brake holds the bail steady between casts, and the handle is rigid metal with a TPV knob.
