Korda Kable Leadcore Leader Heli-Safe 1m

A ready-tied 1m leadcore leader built on Kable, set up for helicopter rigs and chods straight out of the packet. At a metre long it pins everything to the lakebed and protects the fish from line damage during the fight, without being long enough to upset the cast.

It carries the Mini Heli-Safe system, a more compact version of the original, so the lead comes off whenever it needs to. The No-Trace Safety System means the hooklink can pull free of the leader if the main line breaks, and the top rubber can sit tight to the lead over a clean bottom or be pushed right up to the other end for chodding over weed.

The standard spring releases the lead under minimal pressure, which is what you want in thick weed. Swap in one of the red springs for water that is generally snag and weed free, or fit a collar and the lead never ejects at all – the fish still comes free through the No-Trace system. A size 11 QC ring swivel handles rig changes and a spliced loop takes care of the main line, loop to loop.

Which colour?

• Gravel Brown – the lighter, brown colourway.
• Weed/Silt – the darker green. Pick whichever matches the bottom you are fishing over.
