Korda Fake Food Pop-Up Boilie Essential Cell

The Essential Cell version of Korda's imitation pop-up boilie, a washed-out yellow bait built to match Mainline's Essential Cell range. It goes on when you want the same hookbait you have been baiting with, but you want it to still be there in the morning.

That is the point of a plastic hookbait. Crayfish, silverfish and birdlife cannot break it down, so a bait cast at dusk is presenting exactly the same at dawn. The flavour is impregnated through the bait rather than sprayed on, which means it holds its own smell and resists picking up whatever it is sitting in.

The base carries a recessed cavity so a Korda Hair Stop seats flush inside the bait, removing the anchor point that crayfish work at. Buoyancy is balanced for a Spinner Rig with no additional weight, and it fishes well over weed or in silt.

Which size?

• 12mm – 12 baits per packet. Matched to a size 6 hook.
