Fortis Wraps Polarised Sunglasses

The Wraps sit tight to the face, and that is the point. The curve blocks light coming in at the sides while still leaving a full 180 degrees of peripheral vision, so nothing washes out when the sun is off to one side of you.

Rubber inserts on the arms hold them still without clamping, and a vent along the top of the frame keeps misting down while you are moving between swims. At 23g they are light enough to leave on all day.

Which lens?

• Brown 247 – contrast and depth in mixed and bright conditions. The default choice on most UK venues.
• Amber AMPM – for flat and shaded light. Dawn, dusk, heavy cloud and tree-lined margins.
• Switch – photochromic, darkening as UV rises and clearing again in shade. The one to have when the weather will not settle.
