Drennan Visi Wag 2 Loaded Insert Waggler

A loaded insert waggler carrying a long 2mm hollow Hi-Viz banded tip. The thin banded tip is the point of it: it registers the small, slow bites you get from silverfish, and from F1s once the water has cooled down, while the bands stay readable at range.

Moulded floats like this have largely replaced peacock quill because the shotting is consistent from one float to the next. The Visi Wag 2 takes five No.8 shot set up with four Float Stops, two either side, and a Swivel Float Attachment – and every size in the range is designed so you can swap float without rebuilding the shotting pattern.

Which size?

• 1.0g – the lightest of the five, for close range on a calm day.
• 1.25g – a small step up when there is a ripple on.
• 1.5g – the middle of the range and where to start if you are unsure.
• 1.75g – for casting a bit further, or a bit more depth to get through.
• 2.0g – the heaviest, for range and for wind.
