Drennan Heavyweight Cage Feeder

The heavy end of Drennan's oval cage feeder family, made for fast water. The flat bottom is what keeps it planted when a river is pushing through, and the oval body hugs the riverbed instead of sitting up proud of it like a round feeder does.

A mesh cage empties much faster than a solid-walled feeder, so your groundbait is out and working almost as soon as it lands. On the retrieve the oval profile helps it lift off the bottom quickly, which saves a few snags over a day. The stainless mesh is electroplated in a camo bronze finish.

Which size?

• Large 50g – steady flow and moderate range, the usual starting point for barbel and chub.
• X-Large 60g – more pace, or the same swim after rain.
• XX-Large 70g – heavy water, and the one that will still hold when nothing lighter will.
