Drennan Dacron Beads

A braided alternative to the plastic elastic connector, and lighter than one. The dacron is stiff enough to push the mainline away from the pole tip, which is where wrap-over tangles start – particularly if you slap or helicopter a rig, or ship in and out at speed.

Each bead arrives mounted on a tube with the loop already formed, so threading it onto the elastic is a ten-second job rather than a fiddle. The coated braid is kind to both the mainline and the elastic.

Which size?

• Mini – elastics between 1.0mm and 1.6mm.
• Small – elastics between 1.4mm and 2.0mm.
• Medium – elastics between 1.8mm and 2.4mm.
• Large – elastics between 2.2mm and 2.8mm.
