Daiwa Matchman 10ft Feeder Rod

Ten foot is where method feeder fishing stops being close-quarter work and starts being about hitting a spot at a proper range. This one is rated to 40g, which covers a loaded commercial method feeder with room to spare, and it takes lines from 3lb up to 10lb.

The blank is high modulus carbon with X-WRAP braiding across the butt section, so it will load with strong mainline and still cushion a hook hold when a big fish turns. At 200g it stays comfortable held over a long session on the rest.

Two carbon quiver tips are supplied with it.

Which quiver tip?

• 1oz – the softer of the pair, for showing small indications in flat conditions or when fish are finicky.
• 1.5oz – holds a heavier feeder steady and stops wind and tow pulling the tip round.
