Daiwa 26 Tournament Basia 45 SCW QD Big Pit Reel

The 26 Tournament Basia is built around a redesigned 45mm spool that is 10% larger in diameter and tapered at just 2 degrees. That combination lifts line capacity and takes the crank rate to 115cm per turn, so a bait sat at range comes back quickly.

A bigger spool needs a bigger rotor, and the Zaion AIRDRIVE rotor is the largest Daiwa have fitted to a big pit reel. The one-piece AIRDRIVE bail uses thinner-walled hollow pipe to keep weight down without losing rigidity, and the Zaion body and rotor hold the whole reel to 535g.

Slow Cross Wrap sets the angle the line beds down on the spool so it leaves with less resistance on the cast. Mag Sealed keeps waterborne grit out of the gearing, which matters on a reel that sits on a pod for days at a time.
