Korda Interceptor Controller Float

A surface controller that lies flat instead of cocking up out of the water. The stem is buoyant as well as the body, so the whole float sits in the film where a feeding carp is less likely to take exception to it, and the opaque white finish keeps it discreet from below while staying easy to pick out from the bank.

The useful part is how quickly you can change size. A QC Ring Swivel sits into the rubber insert in the nose, and your main line joins that with a figure-of-eight loop. Unclip, slide the controller off, thread a different one on – which matters when the floaters drift on the wind and the fish move out of range mid-session.

Which size?

• 5g – for fish close in, where you want better accuracy and line control than freelining gives you.
• 15g – the all-rounder, and the one to start with.
• 30g – the other all-rounder, with enough weight to punch out into a wind.
