Solar P1 Croc Pod

The Croc is Solar's ground-hugging pod, redrawn from the 1990s original. Twin main bars and single-piece uprights stiffen the chassis, and the front and rear bars are wider than before with the legs mounted on the outside of the bridge bars, which is what keeps it steady on soft ground.

Leg angle is set independently at each corner using the same system as the Worldwide pods, so the pod sits level across a sloping or stepped swim. The stubby legs supplied with it hold the rods low; they screw off on a semi quick-release 3/8 BSF fitting, so longer legs or banksticks go straight in when the swim needs height.

The Super Grip fixtures are shaped for easier adjusting and locking in the cold and the wet, which matters more than it sounds at four in the morning.
