Okuma Jaw Spin Spinning Rod

A carbon lure rod with an extra fast action, so the tip does the work on the twitch and the power sits low down for the strike. The handle is EVA over a graphite custom reel seat, and the range is built to match the Okuma Jaw spinning reels. Every model breaks into two pieces for the car.

Which length?

• 6ft 6in / 198cm - Ultra Light (2-10g) – short on purpose. It works under trees, off a canal towpath and from a boat without catching everything behind you. Small spinners, small plugs and light jig heads.
• 7ft 0in / 213cm - Ultra Light (3-14g) – a little more length and a little more casting weight, for open banks and slightly heavier lures.
• 8ft 0in / 244cm - Medium Heavy (14-56g) – a different rod for a different job. The length and the 14-56g rating put it in pike and zander territory: bigger shads, spinnerbaits and heavier jig heads at range. Do not buy this one expecting an ultra light.
