Thinking Anglers Leadcore 5mm Safety Top Beads Tungsten

A 5mm round tungsten bead with a short piece of silicone through the centre, for use as the top bead on a leadcore or lead-free helicopter set-up.

The point of it is what happens when things go wrong. Under pressure the bead pulls free of the silicone, so the rig slides off the leader in the event of a crack-off or a cut-off and the fish is not left towing a lead around. It does that without a moving part, a clip or anything to set up.
