Crimp Link is a 100% pure fluorocarbon boom material for hinges, Ronnies, spinners and combi rigs. It takes a crimp cleanly and it knots just as happily, so it suits either way of building them.

It steams permanently straight and holds that shape, which is what keeps a rig from tangling on the cast. The rigidity is balanced rather than absolute — stiff enough to hold a boom out, soft enough that the hook and hookbait keep the controlled movement a really stiff material takes away.

Shear resistance is high, so booms made from it survive being used and reused rather than being cut off and rebuilt every session.

Over longer lengths it makes a very good leader, particularly behind a braided mainline where the end section benefits from something subtle with some shear resistance in it. Drag a long length through a clenched hand to warm it and it straightens out.
