Korda Marker Kit

Everything needed to set a marker rod up, in one pack: the SLR Marker Float, a Marker Stem and a 3oz Marker Probe Lead.

The float is balsa rather than plastic, so it is buoyant enough to come up every time as long as the line runs freely through the lead. It is slim, stable in flight and can be cast as far as you can put a rig out, and the bright orange flight makes it easy to pick out on the surface.

The probe lead is uncoated, which is the point of it. Bare lead sends far more vibration back up the rod, especially on braid, and it comes back marked so you can read the bottom off it – scratches from gravel, clay residue from a soft spot.

The stem clips on and off the lead so you can change lead size, and its large-eyed ceramic ring lets line run through with very little friction. A buoyant foam section holds that ring clear of debris on the bottom.
