Korda Longshank X Barbed Carp Hooks

The Longshank X takes one of the oldest shapes in carp fishing – a fly hook pattern anglers adopted for its hooking ability – and rebuilds it stronger and sharper.

A 20 degree in-turned eye, a long shank and a straight point mean it turns over and takes hold very easily, which is where the consistent hookholds come from. The forged bend and heavier gauge of wire are what let you fish it confidently in snags and weed.

Which size?

• Size 4 – the bigger hook, for larger baits and heavier going.
• Size 6 – a size down, and the more general-purpose of the two.
