Korda Kaizen Mono Green Carp Mainline

Kaizen is Korda's high-performance monofilament, drawn from premium Japanese polymers. It is supple enough to lie down properly on the spool and leave cleanly on the cast, and it stretches very little – which is what lets you feel a lead touch down at range instead of guessing.

The breaking strain to diameter ratio is high, so there is less line in the air and less drag holding the cast back. The abrasion resistance is there for gravel bars, weed stems and anything else the line has to be dragged across.

Every spool carries a printed marker at 250m, 500m and 750m, so you can put a known length on a reel and split a spool across two.

Which breaking strain?

• 12lb (0.30mm) – the finest of the three. Open, clean water where distance matters more than anything else.
• 15lb (0.35mm) – the middle ground, and the one to pick if you fish a mix of waters and want a single spool to cover them.
• 18lb (0.38mm) – weed, gravel and snags, or anywhere you need to turn a fish away from trouble rather than play it out.
