Korda Flat Pear Swivel Lead

A pear lead with the sides flattened. The weight still sits forward in the nose, which is what makes a pear cast and hook well, but the flat faces stop it rolling once it lands.

That is the whole point of it. Cast onto an island margin, the side of a gravel bar or the shoulder of a plateau and the lead stays where it landed instead of sliding down into the silt with your rig behind it. It holds bottom in flow too, so it works on rivers as well as lakes.

Which weight?

• 3oz – the middle of the range and the everyday choice: heavy enough to set a hook properly at sensible range, light enough not to be overkill on a normal-sized lake.
