Thinking Anglers SBX Sinking Braided Mainline

SBX is a sinking braided carp mainline, woven round and tight from a blend of fibres that takes it down fast. It has a smooth feel through the rings, casts easily and is not prone to wind knots.

The camouflage comes from black colour sectioning laid over a green braided base. That combination blends across the whole range of freshwater lakebeds rather than being tuned to one type of bottom, and it is strong enough to cope with all of them.

Which spool?

• 25lb (0.40mm) – the finer of the two, for open water and distance.
• 40lb (0.48mm) – for snags, heavy weed and venues that test tackle.
• 300m – enough for one reel.
• 600m – removable markers at 200m, 300m and 400m, so it splits accurately across two or three reels.

Plenty of waters do not allow braided mainlines. Where that is the case, the FTX fluorocarbon covers similar ground — it sinks unaided and has very little stretch in it.
