Guru X-Safe Elastics

The X-Safe is an elasticated stem that slots into a Guru feeder or inline lead. Its whole elastic section pulls straight through the stem, so if the main line parts or a fish picks up a cracked-off rig, the feeder or lead comes off instead of being towed around.

The elastic does the everyday job too: it absorbs the lunges that pull hooks when you are playing a big fish close in. Setting it up is a small loop tied in the main line, secured to the stem by the streamlined crook and tail rubber.

The stems drop into the existing holes in Guru's method, pellet and Hybrid feeders and the inline lead range.

Long or short?

• Long Black – for method and Hybrid feeders at range. The extra length helps both distance and accuracy on big open water, and it holds more elastic for playing bigger fish.
• Short Black – the compact option for closer work, where casting distance is not what is limiting you.
