The first layer releases potent fragments of bait that carry food signals across the surface, and the second works its way down through the water column, drawing carp up to feed more confidently.

Fish oils go in with the coating, so you get a slick on the top without pouring anything extra over them – which keeps the presentation right when a breeze gets up.
