It is yellow, with a fruitlike aroma, and its active ingredients react in water whatever the temperature.

The 5kg bag is the baiting-up size, for putting bait out across several days rather than a single night. It reseals, so what you do not use keeps in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight until the next trip.

Which size?

• 10mm – the small bait. It spreads a long way for the weight and fish keep eating rather than filling up on a handful of baits.
• 15mm – the all-round size. It spods, throws and Spombs cleanly and still stands up to small fish.
