Braid cuts. A session of spodding at range or hitting big casts will open the side of your index finger, and once it has gone you are done for the day. This covers the finger with a supple, abrasion-resistant synthetic leather tip that still lets you feel the line leaving the spool.
The body is fast-drying Lycra that stretches to fit large or small hands, it is ambidextrous, and a velcro wrist strap keeps it in position through a long spodding session instead of creeping off the knuckle.
