Drennan XL Pellet Waggler

The XL Pellet Waggler is a clear-bodied Crystal float built for distance. It is at its best on big open venues where wind and surface skim make a painted waggler hard work.

Flighted tips keep the cast arrow-straight, and the two removable disc loadings let you adjust the float for visibility and buoyancy. The dive discs also make a fish-attracting noise on impact and stop the float plunging too deep. It carries 8mm and larger banded pellets easily, and works just as well with hair-rigged meat, boilies or a bunch of maggots.

Which weight?

• 8g – the lightest we stock, for shorter chucks and calmer days.
• 12g – the middle ground, for medium to long range work.
• 14g – the most weight in the range, for the far bank on a windy day.

It fixes on with a T-bar waggler connector, Grippa Stops or sliding float stops. Two or three Grippa Stops below the float and one or two above is the usual set-up.
