Guru Kaizen Eyed Barbless Hooks

The eyed Kaizen is a barbless commercial pattern with a huge gape and an offset point, so bites that would slide out of a straighter hook end up in the net. The eye means you can tie a hair rig for banded pellet, corn or a wafter.

The wire is fine but strong, which keeps the hook light enough for delicate pole presentations while still standing up to commercial carp. It works across pole, waggler and feeder fishing.

Which size?

• Size 12 – the largest here, for bigger baits and the biggest fish in the lake.
• Size 14 – the everyday commercial size for banded pellet and corn.
• Size 16 – a good all-round pole size for maggot, worm and smaller pellets.
• Size 18 – the finest here, for silvers, F1s and single maggot.
