Drennan Acolyte Maggot Plus Barbless 6" Hook Plates

Maggot Plus is the stronger of Drennan's two fine-wire Acolyte patterns, so it takes the same small baits as the Silverfish but copes with the odd better fish that turns up with them.

Eight hooklengths per 6″ (15cm) plate, tied barbless to Acolyte fluorocarbon and stored flat under slight tension so they stay straight.

Which size?

• 12 – 4lb (0.16mm). The strongest of the four, for worm or a bigger bunch of maggots.
• 14 – 3lb (0.14mm). Double maggot on a venue with a few carp in it.
• 16 – 3lb (0.14mm). Same line as the 14, a smaller hook for single or double maggot.
• 18 – 2½lb (0.12mm). Single maggot or caster when bites are hard to come by.
