Trakker Wide Gape Hooks Barbless

The Wide Gape is the pattern to reach for on blowback and spinner rigs. The eye is turned in by ten degrees, which is what pulls the point round towards the bottom lip as the hook takes hold, and the gape gives it room to get there.

The point is beaked and swept rather than straight, a shape that keeps its edge against gravel better than a fine straight point does. Forged XC 80 Vanadium wire, PTFE coated and anti-glare.

Which size?

• Size 4 – Large baits and heavier going. The wider gape suits a big boilie sat tight to the shank.
• Size 6 – The blowback rig standard, matched to 15–18mm baits. Start here.
