Description
Description
Crimping is the dependable way to finish a stiff hooklink. Knots in fluorocarbon and heavy mono are inconsistent at best; a krimp closed on the right diameter behaves the same way every time, and it lets you fix the length exactly.
These are the double-barrel type, closed with a Krimp Tool – the jaws carry a marked recess for each size. Matching the krimp to the material matters: one that is too large for the diameter can slip under pressure.
Which size?
- 0.5mm (X-Small) – for 15lb and 20lb Boom, or any low-stretch hooklink between 0.40mm and 0.50mm.
- 0.6mm (Small) – for 25lb Boom, Mouth Trap, and stiff coated braids such as Hybrid.
Specification
- Double-barrel krimps
