Tungskin was the first tungsten-coated hooklength material and is still the heaviest on the market. The weight is the point of it: the link goes down on the deck and stays there.
Under the skin is 100% Dyneema braid, so the strength comes from the core rather than the coating. The skin itself is supple, strips easily and knots without a fight.
Which breaking strain?
- 25lb – The everyday choice for open water and gravel.
- 35lb – The heavier option for snags, thick weed and big fish, where the margin matters more than the diameter.
