Sticky Baits The Krill Active Shelf Life Boilies

Krill Active started in 2014 as a way of getting more attraction out of a boilie on Sticky's trips to Lac de St Cassien, and was rolled in secret for years before it went on sale in 2020. This is the shelf life version of it.

Liquids are pumped into the bait by machine, then combined with powders to build a paste wrap on the outside. In the water that wrap breaks down slowly and puts out far more than a standard boilie does. The liquids carry a high natural salt content, so the bait stays close to fresh with minimal preservative and no freezer.

Which size?

• 12mm – the small bait, for mixes and where you want numbers of baits rather than size.
• 16mm – the size most people fish it in.
• 20mm – the bigger bait, for standing out.

1kg or 5kg?

• 1kg – a session, or a bag to see what the Active coating does.
• 5kg – clearly cheaper per kilo, and the sensible option once you are baiting properly.

Using it – read this bit

• Add only minimal liquid. Too much breaks the coating down and makes the bait harder to handle.
• Use it straight from the bag, or out of an airtight sealed bucket.
