Sticky Baits Manilla Active Shelf Life Boilies

Manilla Active goes through a two-stage coating of super soluble liquids and fine, high-grade powders, which leaves a paste layer wrapped around every bait. Once it is submerged that layer breaks away into a cloudy halo.

The coating is made to release even in cold water, so it comes off quickly in winter. Underneath it is the same sweet, nutty formula of milk proteins and refined nut proteins used in the freezer bait, with the smallest amount of preservative possible – natural salts in the coating hydrolysates do most of that work, which is why the use-by date is shorter than standard Manilla Shelf Life.

Which size?

• 12mm – the smallest bait here, for putting more baits over the same area.
• 16mm – the middle size, and the one the matching hookbaits are built around.
• 20mm – the largest we stock, for a bigger bait among everything else going in.

1kg or 5kg?

• 1kg – a session, or a bag to see what the Active coating does.
• 5kg – clearly cheaper per kilo, and the sensible option once you are baiting properly.

Using it – read this bit

• Add only minimal liquid. Too much breaks the coating down and makes the bait harder to use.
• Use it straight from the bag, or out of an airtight sealed bucket.
• Do not air dry it. The coating dries too quickly and can crumble.
